NYSC certificate not a mandatory: A Federal High Court in Abuja has cleared Mrs Kemi Adeosun, the former Minister of Finance, of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate controversy that led to her resignation in 2018.
In his ruling on Wednesday, on the originating summon with suit number: FHC/ABJ/CS/303/21 brought on her behalf by Wole Olanipekun, SAN, Justice Taiwo Taiwo held that the NYSC certificate is not a mandatory requirement for holding a political office in the country based on the constitution.

Adeosun was the plaintiff in the case, while the sole defendant was the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
