The US Embassy in Nigeria has issued a warning to Nigerians about fake websites and messages advertising the US Visa lottery.
The mission issued a statement on its Twitter page on Friday, June 18 urging members of the public to disregard messages from such websites.
The fake message reads, “Take the chance of living in the United States and apply for the official US Green Card Lottery.”
Recall that every year, the Green Card opens the door to the United States for thousands of USA fans. It grants the lucky Green Card recipients permanent residence as well as an unlimited work permit in the United States.
The United States grants 55,000 Green Cards each year through the Green Card Lottery.
