Woman dies after drinking: A woman has repeatedly died after her husband family members forced her to shave her hair and also drink bathwater from her late husband’s corpse.
Emeka Okoronkwo the woman’s son took to Facebook to share the pain his late mother went through before giving up the ghost, while he calls on State House Assemblies to abolish such tradition in Igbo Land.

“When I was a child, my mother’s hell started the day my father died. His family did not regard us as humans, they forced my mom to shave her head and drink his bathwater, which made her sick for over 3 years. She almost died.”

“She still died a 4 years later leaving us all to suffer in the hands of our relatives. I wish I was the grown man I am today. I would have fought for my mother. Either I die or someone will die if they did not leave us alone.”
“Some traditions of some Igbo communities is nothing but pure wickedness, to see that other women are still being subjected to these cruel acts today is not acceptable. I call on statehouse assemblies to make things like this illegal in all Igbo states.
