A word-for-word translation of what Abu Musab Albarnawi, the leader of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), said on the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has been shared online.
Albarnawi referred to Shekau as “the leader of disobedience and corruption” in an internal message obtained by Daily Trust.
He also claimed that ISWAP fighters cheered his death after he was apprehended “in the most humiliating manner.”
