The 2010 winner of project fame and award-winning Nigerian singer Chidinma Ekile, popularly known as Ms Kedike, has joined gospel singer Mercy Chinwo on Eezee Concepts record label as she quits secular music and dropped a new single titled ‘Jehova Overdo.
The singer disclosed this on her Instagram page while celebrating her 30th birthday on May 2, 2021.
“MY name is Minister Chidinma Ekile, I’m a crusader of the gospel of Jesus. I’m a crusader of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” she wrote.
Recall that the Kedike singer rose to prominence in 2010 after winning Project Fame West Africa as a 19-year-old. Following that, she released her debut single, ‘Jankoliko,’ which featured veteran star Sound Sultan.
She then signed to iLLBliss and Clarence Peters’ Capital Hill/Goretti Company record label and became a West African sensation with the single ‘Kedike.’ She also had other singles released, such as ‘Emi Ni Baller,’ which won Best Video at the 2014 Headies.
Chidinma won Best Female West African Act at the 2012 KORA Awards. At the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards, she was nominated for Best Female Act.
Chidinma Ekile was born in Ketu, Kosofe area of Lagos State but hail from Imo State.

She is the sixth child in a family of seven. Chidinma was raised by a strict father and began singing at the age of six.
She joined her church choir when she was ten years old. Chidinma attended primary and secondary school in Ketu before moving with her family to Ikorodu. Before auditioning for the third season of Project Fame West Africa, she worked as a business promoter in Lagos.
According to Chidinma before her change in her musical career, her musical influences include Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Fela Kuti, Omawumi, Onyeka Onwenu, Lagbaja, and Darey Art Alade.
