Popular Nigerian skit maker, Maraji has drummed support for the Ekiti State Chef Dammy on her cook-a-thon quest.
Maraji expressed that there was nothing wrong in what Chef Dammy did, as she highlighted the significance of competition and individual aspirations using the entertainment industry.
Maraji who noted the anger by some Nigerians concerning Chef Dammy, expressed that persons in entertainment industry like music and comedy, do not wait for others to achieve success before chasing their own dreams.
Talking from her own experience, Maraji stated how inspiration and influence are effective to the creative process, stressing that no one waits for permission to pursue their aspirations.
She slammed the school of thought directed at Chef Dammy, including the notion that she should have collaborated with brands like Hilda Baci did.
Maraji who was disappointed at most critics being women, highlighted that this was a booming moment for women in Nigeria to attempt breaking records and achieving great things, instead of backlashing Dammy.
The renowned comedienne emphasized that Chef Dammy’s approach was not new or unexpected, as she gave examples of artists who have gotten inspirations from others and went on to create their own music.
