Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has revealed that he bagged a multimillion-naira ambassadorship deal when he was just 17 years old.
Davido, while speaking in a recent interview, stated that he had just released two songs when the telecommunication brand offered him an endorsement deal worth N20 million.
The unavailable’ crooner said it was a huge deal for his family as they had not seen that kind of money as at that time.
In his words Davido said: “I remember when MTN, a telecommunication company came and they were like, they want to do endorsement, but then he (dad) was like, how much, and I said 20 million. I was 17. Nobody has seen that kind of money.
“Wow, this is from Music, and it’s off like two songs, of course. I’m like, ‘Daddy, see, we can do this’.
“He looking at it, he built me a studio and gave me some money to run my stuff and did my first album, and it came out really really successful.”
