Maliha Mohammed, a Kenyan chef who has previously set the record for the longest cooking marathon, returns to compete against Hilda Baci of Nigeria who is the current world longest cooking chef.
The Kenyan chef announced on social media that she would break the record for the longest cooking marathon in November 2023.
Hilda Baci a 27-year-old chef from Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, recently made headlines for setting a new world record by cooking for 100 hours on Monday, May 15 surpassing that of Lata Tondon an Indian chef who cooked for 87 hours 45 minutes.
The Kenyan chef claimed to have broken the record twice in a row, in 2017 and 2019. Maliha according to her, has previously cooked for 72 hours in 2018 and 75 hours in 2019.
She went on to say that she plans to break another record, a ‘home kitchen cooking marathon,’ by November 2023.
