Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly known as DJ Switch, a Nigerian disc jockey, has sent a gratitude letter to the Nigerian youth for shifting the political narrative in the country.
Speaking on how the youths have shifted the narrative in Nigeria politics to some level, DJ Switch stated that she has always thought that change will come to Nigeria and that the change needed is still a long way off, but her faith has been reinvigorated.
DJ Switch revealed in a heart-touching message that she will not see the change coming, but she is grateful that the youths made her wishes come true.
She wrote: “I want to say thank you to our vibrant youths. I’ve always believed change will come to Nigeria but I would always end that statement with, “I know I won’t see it.” But you guys have made my dream come true… I know it’s still a long way to go but my faith is renewed. Thank you!”
In another tweet, DJ Switch made fun of the incumbent governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is running for re-election.
Recall that the governor has used a number of outdoor efforts, including visits to churches and hairdressing salons, as well as demonstrations of his mechanic abilities, to persuade Lagos residents to vote for him again on March 11th.
“I hear say Sanwo Olu don turn usher for church Miracle no dey taya who???” she wrote.
Also recall that DJ Switch, who has been in exile, got international attention by live-streaming Nigerian Army troops shooting protesters at the Lekki tollgate during the nationwide EndSARS protest on October 20th, 2020.
