Reasons Why award-winning singer David Adeleke Known as Davido married his longtime lover Chioma Rowland after the death of their son Ifeanyi Adeleke has surfaced.
Recall that the couple lost their son on 31 October 2022, after he drowned in their home while they were away from home, living him in the custody of his Nanny.
After the tragedy occurrence the Adeleke’s were left with no choice but to bury their son after an autopsy test confirmed he drowned but were stopped by the Rowland’s family who said the boy was still their son because Davido didn’t marry their daughter which was in accordance to the Igbo culture.
To have full custody and bury their son, the Adeleke’s quickly paid Chioma’s bride price.
According to Daily Sun Chioma’s bride price was paid on Friday, November 4, 2022, in a quiet and secret traditional marriage ceremony held in Lagos State before the deceased was finally buried on November 5, 2022.
Chioma kinsmen from Ezeala Odu, Owerre Nkwoji, in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State, further hosted, the Adeleke’s, at Chioma’s family house in Lekki, where the traditional marriage took place on November 4, 2022.
The final marriage rites have been concluded in Chioma’s hometown in Imo State on Monday, January 2, 2023, which prompted the singer to update his marital status on his Wikipedia profile.
Meanwhile, the couple made their first public appearance at the recently concluded World Cup where Davido performed alongside world-famous singers as he also made history to become the first Nigerian artiste to perform in a world cup tournament.
Davido also told his fans to anticipate his full come to his social life from March 2023.
