Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State, has guaranteed that Bola Tinubu will be able to deliver if elected president in 2023. He claimed that the leading candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) had already declared his intention to continue President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy.
Yahaya delivered the comment in the Amada community in the Akko Local Government Area, at the residence of HRH Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, the Lamido Gona.
The governor claimed that during his two terms in office, President Buhari did a good job.
According to him, “We need consolidation, hence that’s why we’re voting for Tinubu,” according to NAN.
“Tinubu has pledged to uphold excellent administration in order to carry on Buhari’s good deeds.”
In the general election, Yahaya asked the residents of the emirate to support APC candidates.
At Garko ward in Akko LGA, he said the party was happy with the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS).
“We are confident that with BVAS, Tinubu and all APC candidates will win.”
Inuwa Yahaya further declared that the ruling platform had achieved a lot and has massive supporters across Nigeria.
The Governor once stated that the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has no chance of winning in the North-East.
Yahaya stated this in Minna, Niger State, on Saturday when he visited a former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
“Our chances are very high indeed and we are strong in our resolve to work towards the success of our great party, the All Progressives Congress,” he said.
When asked if he would support the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, over his brother, Atiku, the governor said there was nothing like brotherhood and party man, adding, “Nigeria is one and goes beyond regions.
“It doesn’t matter that Atiku is from the same region as me. They are all my brothers and Nigeria is one; we are struggling to maintain it as a united and indivisible country.”
He also stated that he was in Minna to visit Abdulsalami over his recent hospitalisation in London.
