“PSV and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement on the proposed transfer of Cody Gakpo,” PSV said in a statement.
“The 23-year-old attacker will leave for England imminently where he will be subjected to the necessary formalities ahead of the completion of the transfer.”
The transfer amount would set a PSV club record, according to general manager Marcel Brands.
A price of up to 50 million euros ($53 million, £44 million) may be charged, according to sources.
Following the additions of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz over the past 12 months, Gakpo’s arrival further revitalizes Liverpool’s front line.
