‘President Buhari’ has received birthday wishes from Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State. In his birthday letter to the president, Soludo stated that turning 80 was a sign of God’s blessings and a significant milestone that should be honored.
He characterized the president as an honest patriot who has done his best to further the welfare of the nation.
These were included in a statement that the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, made accessible to journalists on Saturday.
The governor lauded Buhari for his honest and transparent disposition to public office, saying he is a shinning example of one who has risen above the temptation of corruption in discharging his duties
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Anambra State, I congratulate the President on this auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday and I wished him many more glorious years ahead,” the statement added.
Today marks President Muhammadu Buhari’s 80th birthday, and notable Nigerians greeting the President and praising his leadership abilities include former president Goodluck Jonathan, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, APC presidential contender Bola Tinubu, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Jonathan prayed for God’s guidance and protection as President Buhari steers the affairs of the country in the final months of his administration in a goodwill message that he personally signed. Jonathan noted that President Buhari had the exceptional opportunity to lead the country twice, both as a military Head of State and as a civilian President.
“I am glad to congratulate you on the occasion of your 80th birthday,” the former president said. I praise God with your family, friends, and other well-wishers.
As a leader, you are one of the few Nigerians who have been privileged to administer our country at different political eras; both as a military Head of State and civilian president. Atiku, in his goodwill message, said Buhari at 80, “continues to be a motivation for inner strength.”The PDP presidential flag-bearer prays for ‘President Buhari’ “to continue to enjoy the grace of good health and vitality, as he continues to play his leadership roles in Nigeria and Africa.”
