Yemi Alade, Nigerian singer has opened up on how she was robbed over the weekend in Cote d’Ivoire where she went for a show.
Explaining how the robbery took place, she mentioned how thieves broke into her hotel room scattered her properties and made away with all they could carry.
She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal: all the money they could find, Very good.”
Nigerian singer and song writer, Yemi Alade attended and performed at the Creative Africa Nexus event which Genevieve Nnaji and other Nigerian celebrities attended over the weekend.
The singer added that actions are being taken to nab to the thieves.
“they are working on it, looking through cameras and all but she knows the money is all gone by now.The suspects are all denying,” she added.
Alade is one of Nigeria’s biggest female Afropop singer, songwriter, actress, and activist.
She has won many awards and accolades including the Peak Talent, she won in 2009 after which she signed to Effyzzie Music Group, and made the top 10 with her hit single “Johnny” 8 years ago.
Since then Yemi has stood firm in Nigeria entertainment industry and is undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in Africa.
After the release of her albums, ‘King of Queens and Mama Africa’ with mouth-watering commercial success recorded for both albums, she embarks on world tours consecutively.
