A former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty Powers has dragged popular celebrities and other big figures for ignoring the mental health issues of Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku.
Recall that in a video that trended round online, Hanks Anuku was seen roaming around the road looking all unkept and working barefooted. But the actor responded to the video, claiming he has no form of mental issues.
Gifty Powers, however, was annoyed with rich celebrities who are always fond of showing off their money online but still did not support their colleagues who are in need.
She said: “The so-called multi-billionaire daughters and fathers, the ones married to upcoming politicians, the actresses who sleep with politicians, the actors who do the yahoo, the singers, the musicians. It’s a shame.”
“Y’all can’t come out to support a colleague running madly on the streets. Well, it’s the world we live in. People sacrifice their souls to show off on social media and make youngsters feel their effort has been for nothing.
“And after hanging their dotty undies outside, they come on their page and write, with God, all things are possible, Small girl, big God as their caption. Na thunder go fire all of Una. Fools in their 30s, 40s, etc.”
Also recall that Nollywood actress Shan George, disagreed with the viral video of Anuku, saying ‘Anuku is not insane” as widely feared, stressing that he was on a movie set.
Anuku also dismissed the claims of him having a mental problem as he explained that the video was cut from a movie set, he added that he had been working on his acting career, while his haters are trying to destroy his image.
