Kanye West is back on Twitter and has made his first post, which stunned the social media site.
The American rapper, Kanye West got one million likes on a tweet he shared marking his return to Twitter after some months ban.
Recall that Kanye West was temporarily suspended from the platform over antisemitic posts and comments. While testing to confirm that his official handle had been recovered, the rapper shared a tweet on Sunday saying, “Testing, Testing. Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”
As expected, the ‘test post’ is drawing mostly positive reviews, with a little of “oh no” comments. Twitter’s current CEO, Elon Musk, also commented on Kanye West’s post saying, “Don’t kill what ye hate. Save what ye love.” Kanye West’s return comes a day after Twitter restored the official Twitter account of previous American President, Donald Trump, and a few other controversial figures.
West’s Twitter account was originally locked on Oct. 9 for a violation of the social media platform’s policies, according to the company. West was locked out in response to a tweet he posted on Saturday, Oct. 8 that said he was going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” The ban followed a similar exile from Instagram.
