Daddy Freeze, a controversial on-air personality, has praised Nigerian award-winning singer Wizkid for wearing an Rm030 wristwatch worth N232 million.
Daddy Freeze, who has a fondness for expensive wristwatches, explained on his Instagram page that it’s best to invest in items for the future.
Sharing a photo on his verified Instagram page, Freeze wrote: ” @fakewatchbuster just certified @wizkidayo’s Rm030 as original. Congrats Big Wiz! Big Win!!!
“When it was first launched in 2012, this watch cost around $150k. A used one now, ten years later, will cost nearly twice as much”.
“Watches are an excellent investment! How many houses doubled in value ‘in Dollars’ within the same time period? Yes, houses have tripled in Naira, but they can’t compete with anything hedged to a dollar”.
“In 2011, a US dollar was about 165 Naira, so this watch was valued at around N25 million. With the dollar being worth over N800, the identical watch at the current price of $290,000 would fetch N232 million Naira”, he says.
This is not the first time Wizkid is flaunting his expensive things online as he was also seen wearing his new iced-out clock from London jeweler Joseph Frost. The sparkling gem is worth $1.2 million, or more than 430 million Naira.
The Grammy winner posted a video of the new watch on his social media handles.
