Is not possible to have security operatives in all the nook and crannies of Kaduna State says, Commissioner
The Kaduna State Commissioner for internal security, Samuel Aruwan says Kaduna is a vast State with about 46,000 square kilometers and it is not possible to have security operatives in all the nooks and crannies of the State.
He said this while confirming the deaths of ten people in three villages in the state’s Zango Kataf and Chikun Local Government Areas after suspected bandits attacked them.
He, however, noted that some people are working against the peace initiative of the State Government.
“There are people who are working against the peacebuilding initiatives to ensure that what government and critical Stakeholders are sacrificing for is not realistic but then we will not relent we will continue to pursue the peacebuilding initiatives vigorously.
“Kaduna is a vast state and is about 46,000 square kilometers so certainly, you will have ungoverned space and it is not possible to provide security operatives in all the nook and crannies of the state”
“But how do you expect Kaduna State Government to negotiate with people who will enter the State and attack communities, kill, rape, kidnap, disrupt farming activities collapsing the local economy on what basis do you negotiate with them”
