Bereaved Davido who is still mourning the passing of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi David Adeleke has bagged an international award in the United States of America.
This was disclosed by Mr Taiwo Oduala the Founder and Executive Producer of The Afro Awards who confirmed that the famous singer is among the Africans and Americans to be honoured at the Afro Award in Los Angeles, California.
He added that Osun State Governor-Elect, Sen. Ademola Jackson-Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle is one of the awardees at the event.
According to Oduala, the award is conferred to Africans and Americans who have done well for themselves in their various fields of specialisation.
More Africans to be honoured alongside Bereaved Davido at the event are the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Mrs Fatima Maada and Ayuko Babu (Founder & CEO of the Pan African Film Festival and Seye Kehinde, a renowned Nigerian Journalist.
The most anticipated event of the year, Afro Awards 2022, is said to be broadcast live on Sunday, Nov. 6 at Regal La Live 1000 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90015, USA.
“The main focus of the award is to support people who have demonstrated exceptional humanitarian excellence in various fields, ” Oduala said.
Recall that Dynamicnews reports that Singer Davido lost his son Ifeanyi who died on October 31, 2022, after drowning in his father’s Banana Island residence.
The singer and his fiancée Chioma Rowland were said to have returned from a family gathering in Ibadan to hear the tragic news.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command says the lad Nanny and their Chef have been held in custody after they were questioned alongside 8 domestic staff of the singer.
More actions will be taken after the Autopsy test has been carried out to know the actual cause of his death.
