Rio Ferdinand, a former player at Manchester United, has praised Casemiro for his efforts to the club’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
At Old Trafford, Ferdinand praised Casemiro’s performance for Manchester United against the North London visitors as “simply magnificent.”
In the matchup between Erik ten Hag’s team and Antonio Conte’s team, Casemiro, who transferred from Real Madrid to Man United during the summer transfer window, worked hard in the middle of the field.
Fred and Bruno Fernandes scored United’s goals against Spurs.
Casemiro’ has been doing a good job since he was signed in to Manchester United. His performance against spurs was a good one and he ideally deserves praise for it.
After the game, Ferdinand commented on his FIVE YouTube channel that the Brazilian midfielder was a “fantastic” addition since he improves the performance of his colleagues.
“The moment he has got back in the team and given a run in the team, he is producing the performances that we expected, but the biggest thing, he is like the glue in the team, but also is the one that allows other players to go and perform.”
“He protects the back four, but he releases the midfielders to go and do their creative stuff. I think he is a fabulous acquisition that we have got. I thought Casemiro, positionally, was absolutely immense.”
“Fred does what Fred does. Energetic, at times, gives the ball away here and there. Again, I think that’s what Casemiro brings, I think he makes some of the players better.”
